SOUTH FLORIDA · THE NEW LICENSE REPORT

Know every new bar & restaurant — before it opens.

New venues file with the State of Florida weeks before opening day, while they're still choosing their POS, insurance, and distributors. We read every filing. You get the list every Monday at 7am.

WHY IT WORKS

The account goes to whoever gets there first.

A new restaurant signs its POS contract, its liquor liability policy, and its distributor agreements during buildout — weeks before the public knows it exists. The paper trail starts with a state license filing. It's public record. Almost nobody reads it.

We read the filings so you don't have to.

Every day, First Pour collects the State of Florida's new license activity — liquor and food service — across Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade.

We clean it, translate the license codes into plain English, and flag exactly what stage each business is at: application approved, temporary license, permanent issued, ownership transfer.

WHO IT'S FOR

Built for the people who sell to new venues.

If your income depends on being first through the door, First Pour is your Monday morning.

POS territory reps

Every venue on the list is choosing a register system right now. Be the first demo they see.

Hospitality insurance

Every full-liquor license needs liability coverage before opening day — policies worth $8–15K a year.

Food & beverage distributors

New accounts before the competition has a route stop there. The list is your weekly call sheet.

Equipment dealers

Buildout is when kitchens and bars get specced. Filings put you there during the spend, not after it.

Payroll & services

Payroll, linen, pest, hood cleaning — operations get set up once, with whoever showed up first.

The math

One closed account from the list typically pays for years of the subscription.

"I've spent 27 years in production and media, and the one lesson that transfers to every business: whoever has the information first, wins. The state publishes these filings every day — they're just buried where no working salesperson has time to look. So I built the thing that looks."

QUESTIONS

Fair questions, straight answers.

Where does the data come from?

Florida DBPR public filings — the state's own daily license activity records. We collect them daily, clean them, and translate the codes into plain English.

How fresh is it?

Filings are pulled every day; Monday's issue covers the week that just ended. Most entries are weeks from opening day.

Is this legal?

Entirely. These are public records. We just do the reading.

Can you cover Orlando, Tampa, or another state?

That's the roadmap. Tell us where you need — you're first in line when it opens.

What does a bad week look like?

Some weeks the state files less. You'll see exactly what there was — never padding, never recycled entries.

What's in each entry?

Business name, full address, owner entity, license type in plain English, and the filing stage — so you know exactly how firm each lead is.

Your competitors will hear about these openings eventually.

You'll hear about them first. Monday, 7am.
